Atlantyca Signs Italian Licensing Deal

MILAN: Atlantyca Entertainment has secured a multi-year Italian licensing agreement with Panini for the animated series Geronimo Stilton.

Panini will develop a variety of Geronimo-branded sticker-related products (sticker collection, sticker stack books, sticker sheets and albums). The deal will run through March 2012. The launch of the Panini products will be coordinated with the premiere of the animated series on Italy’s Rai scheduled for this month.

“Panini is considered an absolute market leader in collectibles and stationery products,” said Atlantyca’s director of licensing, Maria Giovanna Gurrieri. “We are thrilled to be partnering with them on this, our flagship animated property. Kids have collected stickers for many years, it is simply one of the most unique ways to capture the best and most memorable moments of a series.”

“This is an exciting partnership," added Antonio Allegra, the director of marketing for Italy (figurines and cards) at Panini. “We look forward to producing a variety of original products based on the new world of Geronimo StiltonPanini seeks characters, like Geronimo, that embody positive core values and, of course, we share the same Italian origins, which is always a plus!”
