RTL Takes NBCU Fare

COLOGNE/LOS ANGELES: Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds is among a slate of titles set to air on RTL Television in Germany, following a new multi-year licensing agreement with NBC Universal International Television Distribution.

The agreement covers the German free-TV rights to current, library and upcoming NBC Universal feature films, television series, mini-series and TV movies. Other titles covered include Brüno, starring Sacha Baron Cohen; the upcoming remake of the classic Universal film The Wolfman, starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins; the comedy Land of the Lost, starring Will Ferrell; and Fast & Furious, with Vin Diesel. 

"We are very happy to be able to continue our fruitful collaboration with NBC Universal," said Dirk Schweitzer, the executive VP of program acquisitions and sales at RTL. "The off-key comedies and sumptuous action movies fit perfectly in our program."
