Raft of Sales for Ava Riko Teo

PARIS: MoonScoop has signed up a host of new broadcasters for its preschool series Ava Riko Teo, an animated paper-cutout show co-produced with Character Plan, France 5 and EBS.

Italy’s Rai 3, Al Jazeera Children’s Channel in the Middle East, Disney Australia, MTV3 Finland, Israel’s HOP, Venevision and Central and Eastern Europe’s JimJam have taken on the series. Based on the works of French author and artist Mila Boutan, Ava Riko Teo is created using a colorful onscreen assembling of all kinds of paper cutouts, which become the setting for young viewers to follow the adventures of three loveable friends.

Lionel Marty, the president of worldwide sales at MoonScoop, said: "We’ve had a fantastic response to this series internationally. The animation is simple but eye-catching, using materials that kids themselves can source, and the stories are engaging and fun. It’s a type of show that broadcasters are very keen on for this age group—inspiring kids to create their own art-based stories beyond the television experience."
