Connection III Plans MIPTV Debut

LOS ANGELES: Connection III Entertainment Corp. will be exhibiting at MIPTV for the first time this year, looking to shore up deals on its U.S. syndication series Made in Hollywood and Made in Hollywood: Teen Edition, among other titles.

"Celebrity-featured programming consistently draws huge audiences and has the ability to travel beyond borders," said Cleveland O’Neal III, the founder and president/CEO of Connection III. "Made in Hollywood and Made in Hollywood: Teen Edition have exceeded our expectations in the U.S. and propelled us to take them to MIPTV for the first time to give international broadcasters the chance to come on board with these exciting new series."

Made in Hollywood features exclusive celebrity interviews and star profiles, on-set coverage with directors, writers and producers and previews of upcoming motion picture and DVD releases, focusing on how movies made. The show recently closed a 21-market U.S. national syndication deal with the CBS-owned local TV stations for the 2009-10 season and is available in a total of 78.9 million homes across the country. Connection III also clinched a sponsorship deal with MovieTickets.com, owned by Viacom and AMC Theaters, to integrate branded segments for the ticketing website into each Made in Hollywood episode, while cross-promoting Made in Hollywood branded content with MovieTickets.com.

Made in Hollywood: Teen Edition is an E/I-compliant version of the franchise focusing on entertainment careers, targeting on the 13-to-16 set. Rounding out the company’s MIPTV slate are the TV movies Christmas at Water’s Edge, What About Your Friends: Weekend Get-Away and What About Your Friends: Graduation Blues.
