Obama Interview Delivers for 60 Minutes

NEW YORK, November 19: An interview with U.S. president-elect
Barack Obama on CBS's 60 Minutes over
the weekend delivered 25.1 million viewers, the show's best audience in a
decade and the largest viewership for a TV series all season.

The weekly newsmagazine featured the first post-election interview
with Obama and his wife, Michelle. It
delivered a 15.1 rating and 23 share for total households, and a 6.3 rating and
16 share in adults 18 to 49—the show's best performance in this demo
since January 2000.

Now in its 40th year, 60 Minutes is averaging 15.7
million viewers this season, up 12 percent over last season. It is also up 9
percent in households, with 10 rating and 16 share. The series ranks ninth on
Nielsen's top 10 list in both viewers and households.
