Popular PBS Cooking Show Set for Global Rollout

NEW YORK, October 12: Girasole International, the media,
marketing and distribution company founded by Emilia Nuccio in 2001, is
offering up the rights to Lidia’s Family Table, a popular cooking series airing on public TV stations across the U.S.

The 52×30-minute cooking series from Tavola Productions sees
chef Lidia Matticchio Bastianich preparing classic Italian recipes in her
Mediterranean-style kitchen, surrounded by her family. She is a well-known face
on public stations in the U.S., having been on the air since 1998 with Lidia’s
Italian-American Kitchen
and Lidia’s
Italian Table
.

“Lidia’s show is so much more than a cooking show,” said
Nuccio, who founded Girasole after stints at Televisa, BBC Worldwide Latin
America and Ragdoll, among other companies. “It is amazing how many men and
women follow Lidia’s reassuring and inspiring ways as she prepares food that
feeds the soul as well as the stomach. Isn’t it time more people were exposed
to this extraordinary talent?”
