Southern Star Scores German Deal for My Restaurant Rules

SYDNEY, July 16: Germany’s
Granada Produktion is set to produce a local version of Southern Star
International’s reality program My Restaurant Rules for VOX.

Australia, My Restaurant Rules features
five couples who get their shot at starting a restaurant. The couple behind the
restaurant that is voted the best in the end wins the restaurant. Local
versions of the program have been produced by TV2 in Denmark, VMMA in Belgium
and RTL 5 in the Netherlands, while the finished Australian show has sold to
LIVING in the U.K., Cuisine TV in France, RTL in the Netherlands, BBC in
Africa, Kuchnia TV in Poland and Discovery Channel in Italy, pan-Asia and Latin
America.

Frank Hoffmann, the
managing director of VOX, said: "VOX
will now have its own TV event show with My Restaurant Rules, a format which has seen international success
with great ratings worldwide. The format made an instant impression on us and
its themes are such that it's a perfect fit for VOX and its profile."
