SPE Networks—Asia Ups Exec

SINGAPORE, April 10: SPE Networks—Asia has promoted Ang Hui Keng to senior VP of channels management and finance.

Keng joined SPE Networks—Asia 10 years ago, when its parent company, Sony Pictures Entertainment, started the office in Singapore as the regional headquarters for its television networks. He was a key member of the team that successfully built up the action and adventure cable channel AXN, which is now available in more than 82 million households across 23 countries, including 40 million on time-block basis in China.

Ricky Ow, the general manager of SPE Networks—Asia, said, “Hui Keng is a proven leader and a key member of the SPE Networks—Asia management team. He spent many years leading different critical areas that helped to drive many of our expansion plans and increase the revenue of the networks, enabling the robust growth of the company.”

Ow continued, “Friends in the industry will certainly agree with me that Hui Keng’s promotion is a well-deserved one. His promotion to senior vice president will also allow him to fully use his years of experience and in-depth knowledge to guide a new set of leaders, as the company restructures in preparation for further growth.”
