Schwartz & Company Inks New Distribution Deal

LONDON, April 5: Schwartz
& Company has inked a North American distribution deal with Koch
Entertainment for the high-definition documentary Operation Valkyrie: The Stauffenberg Plot To Kill Hitler, chronicling
the attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler.

The
70-minute Operation Valkyrie:
The Stauffenberg Plot To
Kill Hitler
features 1.5 hours of
DVD “Essential Extras,” as well as a 52-minute HD broadcast version. Based solely on the largest collection of
eye-witness accounts and produced in collaboration with the official German
Resistance Foundation dedicated to the memory of the conspirators (the Forschungsgemeinschaft 20 Juli
1944), the documentary features interviews with Philipp
Baron von Boeselager, the last living conspirator who
escaped Hitler’s wrath, as well as the man who procured the explosives for
Claus von Stauffenberg's intended assassination of
Hitler. The documentary also consists of accounts from all leading aristocratic
families involved in the plot. With
more than 20 exclusive interviews, the documentary features leading scholars
and historians on the conspiracy. The film was written and directed by
Professor Jean-Pierre Isbouts.

Additionally, Schwartz has
closed deals with a number of British distributors for U.S. programming, including
Liberation for Puff the Magic
animated broadcast specials and Pinnacle for Beyond the Golden Compass: The Magic of Philip
Pullman
. Schwartz has inked a deal with GRB for 20 television series and
another deal with Vanguard Entertainment for their 50-film collection.
