SPTI to Represent Entire Strix Catalogue in Latin America

STOCKHOLM, October 9: Sony
Pictures Television International (SPTI) has struck a deal to represent the
entire catalogue from Strix Television throughout Latin America.

As part of the agreement,
SPTI will represent more than 70 Strix formats throughout Latin America,
allowing broadcasters to license the formats for local adaptation, and, in
certain territories, for SPTI to directly produce the programs. Among the
popular formats being offered are The Farm, The Bar, Paradise Lost,
All for One, Kerry’s Getting
Married
, My Best Friend, Backtrack, Peacemakers and Class
of 07.
As with SPTI’s other
formats available in the region, the catalogue will be adapted for local style
and content.

“Strix Television is one
of the top light entertainment producers in the world and we’re ecstatic to be
representing the entire Strix catalogue throughout Latin America,” said Brendan
Fitzgerald, SPTI’s senior VP of international production. “SPTI has had a long
history of success in scripted and unscripted format sales and this agreement
reignites our expansion plans for our light entertainment business in Latin
America.”
