New Social Networking Site to Launch in September

LOS ANGELES, August 16: Matt
Edelman, a former Marvel Studios executive and Robert Tercek, previously with Sony
Pictures Entertainment, have announced plans to launch PeopleJam, a new online
social networking and video site dedicated to “purposeful living” and personal
development.

PeopleJam’s beta site, located
at www.peoplejam.com, will launch in late September, and will offer its
audience more than 150 experts and life coaches that are available for
questions and one-on-one sessions, a broad suite of professionally-produced
real-life and informative video programming and user-generated content. The
site will include five content channels: PeopleLive (health and fitness),
PeopleLove (relationships), PeopleEarn (finance and careers), PeopleBelieve
(inspiration and spirituality) and PeoplePlay (creativity and fun).

Members will also be able to
view and share professional and user-generated video, create personal profiles,
participate in discussion forums and maintain blogs. PeopleJam will also produce original video
programming that will appear on the website and will be streamed and downloaded
to other sites, as well as to mobile phones and handheld devices. These include
PeopleJam Originals, consisting of mini reality shows with purposeful-living at
their core.

PeopleJam aims to enable people
to form meaningful connections with each other, as well as with life coaches
and experts, as they encounter new challenges, opportunities and experiences in
life between college graduation and retirement.

The site was co-founded by Matt
Edelman, whose experience spans motion pictures, television, Internet and
mobile platforms. Earlier in his career, Edelman was the senior VP of Marvel
Studios and the president of Eruptor Entertainment. Prior to founding PeopleJam,
he served as senior VP of publishing for Hands-On Mobile, the largest privately
held mobile entertainment company in the U.S. Co-founder Robert Tercek
previously served as the senior VP of digital media at Sony Pictures
Entertainment and as a creative director for MTV domestically and internationally.

“Between the ages of 25 and 50,
people face the most eventful stage of their lives, but most do so without any
sort of plan,” said Edelman, the CEO of the new site. “PeopleJam is a place for
individuals who want to get ahead of life and take a more active role in
determining their own story. We’ve built the first social media company that
provides Internet users with the means to figure out how to fit together the
seemingly disconnected parts of their lives and thereby make the best possible decisions
in the face of new and unexpected life experiences.”

Tercek, the company’s
president, added: “PeopleJam is designed for people who are serious about
achieving more in life. That audience is massively underserved by current
online offerings. Our site is designed for users seeking a more personal and
emotional online experience. PeopleJam is at its core a user-generated
enterprise, one that delivers people the resources and tools they need to
communicate better and to conduct their lives more effectively.”
