Da Vinci Learning Channel Stocks Up on ORF Docs

VIENNA, August 2: Da Vinci Learning, a new pay-TV channel
launching in Eastern Europe, has acquired history and science documentaries and
more than 200 short-form science segments from the Austrian Broadcasting
Corporation (ORF).

Titles included in the deal are Universum’s Nature
Tech—How Engineers are Inspired by Nature’s Designs, Top Secret: Water,
Chinese Power of Healing and The
History of Writing, among others.

The science items picked up are of 5 to 6-minutes in length
and feature the newest developments and discoveries in scientific research,
health and technology. ORF has more than 1,000 in its catalogue from 2002 on.
