VOOM Channels to Present DECODE Entertainment Series in HD

TORONTO/LONDON, June 11: VOOM HD Networks will premiere a
selection of DECODE Entertainment’s original animated and live-action series in
high definition in the U.S. on its kids- and family-targeted channels Animania HD and Family Room HD.

The new 26×22-minute CGI action
comedy series Urban Vermin, currently
in production for YTV in Canada, will be featured on Animania HD, while Family
Room HD will premiere the new live action tween-targeted The Latest Buzz, which had been commissioned by The Family Channel in
Canada. Family Room HD will also launch the third season of the popular series Naturally
Sadie.

Aimed at 6-12-year-olds, Urban
Vermin is an action comedy starring two
raccoon brothers, once best of friends, who are now sworn enemies. Jetix Europe
recently acquired the pay-TV, TV distribution, home video and consumer product
rights for Europe to the series, with TV
distribution to be serviced by Disney-ABC International Television. The
Latest Buzz is a
live-action series about a struggling youth-oriented magazine
named the Teen Buzz that decides to
replace its staff with actual teens by running an essay-writing contest that
offers five students of a progressive high school the chance to work in the
posh offices of the magazine. Targeted at 8-12-year-olds, Naturally Sadie is about a budding naturalist named Sadie who is passionate
about global and ecological changes, but must sort out various romantic
entanglements. Naturally Sadie has
already been sold to broadcasters worldwide, including Disney Channel U.S.,
Nickelodeon International, Nickelodeon Asia and Nickelodeon U.K., MBC3, Family
Channel in Canada, ABC Australia and France 2.
