Geike Promoted at Warner Bros. Entertainment Germany and Austria

BURBANK/HAMBURG, May 10: Willi Geike has been promoted to
president and managing director of Warner Bros. Entertainment Germany and
Austria.

In his new position, based in Hamburg, Geike’s
responsibilities will be expanded to include general oversight of all of Warner
Bros.’ businesses in Germany and Austria, including theatrical and home video
production, marketing and distribution of both studio and local-language films,
television distribution, consumer products, online and emerging distribution
technologies. In-country divisional management will now jointly report to him
and divisional presidents or designates.

He will also work closely with in-territory regional and local
management teams to achieve company-specific and enterprise-wide business
objectives. Geike’s overall reporting is through Richard Fox, the executive VP
of international at Warner Bros. to Barry Meyer, the chairman and CEO, and Alan
Horn, the president and COO. He will also report to divisional presidents
regarding their specific businesses.

Prior to this promotion, Geike served as the senior VP and
managing director for Warner Bros. Pictures Germany and Warner Home Video,
Germany & Austria, where he orchestrated a multi-faceted production and
distribution deal between Warner Bros. Pictures Germany and X-Filme, one of
Germany’s film industry leaders. Geike has been with Warner Bros. Entertainment
for 24 years. He has served in a variety of posts that include managing
director, marketing director and marketing manager for various Warner Bros.
home video and theatrical distribution operations in Germany.
