HBO’s Flight of the Conchords Gets Second Season

NEW YORK, September 10:
Production is under way in New York on the ten-episode second season of HBO’s
comedy series Flight of the Conchords, slated to launch in early 2009.

The series stars the New
Zealand music-comedy duo Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, and follows the adventures
of the two as they try to find venues to perform in and women to court. The
show recently received four Emmy nominations, including outstanding directing
for a comedy series and outstanding writing for a comedy series.

Clement and McKenzie serve
as execute producers, along with James Bobin, Troy Miller and Stu Smiley.
