Electric Sky Expands Catalogue

LONDON, May 8: The British factual distributor Electric Sky
has reached a deal to distribute a package of seven high-definition
documentaries produced for National Geographic Channel in the U.S.

The seven titles include the 1-hour Inside Saddam’s Reign

Entertainment; and the 1-hour Inside the LA Sewer from Powderhouse. Other titles in production include
further programming on Middle-Eastern history, popular culture and science.
Electric Sky has also taken on the distribution of another Powderhouse

whose book Raising Cain with
co-author Dan Kindlon, was a New York Times bestseller.

The U.K.’s Walsh Brothers have tapped Electric Sky to

which follows psychologist
Dr. Rachel Andrew as she attempts to calm the nation’s angry teenagers, and the
26×30-minute travel adventure series TREX. Format rights are available for both series.

Electric Sky has also acquired a number of titles for
pre-sale that are currently in production. These include German producer
Context TV’s 18×30-minute series Wildlife Nannies, which was commissioned by ZDF and Voom and filmed in HD. This series
follows baby animals and the keepers that devote their lives to looking after
them. Other titles include the 8×30-minute The Turf, a docu-soap series from the same producers as Queer
Eye For The Straight Guy

American football team for one season as they battle their way to the National
Championship and through life in the most violent corner of Boston, and Centre
Stage Productions’ high-definition 13×30-minute series Gear, which explores the coolest gadgets.
