MySpace Launches Canadian Site

TORONTO, May 7: MySpace has launched a fully localized site
for the Canadian community, available in both French and English.

The launch of MySpace Canada marks the lifestyle portal’s 15th
localized rollout, joining sites in the U.S., the U.K., Japan, France, Germany,
Australia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand and
Latin America. According to comScore Media Metrics, MySpace currently has more
than 100 million member profiles worldwide, with nearly 6 million users in
Canada alone.

To commemorate the official launch of the Canadian site,
MySpace will host a “Secret Show” in Toronto on May 14 that will feature Warner
Music Canada’s Billy Talent, a Juno-award winning band.

“Our goal with the launch of MySpace Canada is to make the
site even more relevant to the Canadian community,” said Travis Katz, MySpace’s
senior VP and general manager for international. "There is an incredible
creative community in Canada, and with this launch we will be better able to
showcase the artists, comedians, and video content that our users are most
passionate about, while creating a truly Canadian home for our users
online."
