CME Revenues Rise 24 Percent

HAMILTON, May 3: First quarter revenues rose 24 percent to
$147.9 million at Central European Media Enterprises (CME), with its net loss
down to $250,000 from last year’s $18.3 million.

In Croatia, Nova TV’s revenues almost doubled to $7.2
million, while TV Nova in the Czech Republic saw its revenues rise from $40.5
million to $51.5 million. The company’s operations in Romania boosted revenues
to $39.3 million, and Markiza TV in the Slovak Republic delivered revenues of
$18.7 million from $11.2 million. In Slovenia, Pop TV and Kanal A delivered
revenues of $12.7 million. In Ukraine, Studio 1+1’s revenues fell to $18.1
million from $25.5 million, while Kino and Citi delivered revenues of $398,000.
