Virgin Media in Setanta Replay Deal

LONDON: Virgin Media is working with Setanta Sports to bring its 3.5 million customers access to a range of on-demand sports content, including Premier League and FA Cup matches.

Setanta Replay on the British cable platform will offer a range of sports programming, including Barclays Premier League games, England home friendlies, FA Cup matches and World Cup qualifiers. The service launches today, delivering content on an on-demand basis for up to seven days after the live broadcast. Setanta Replay is free to customers of the XL TV package on Virgin Media. Customers of other tiers can sign up for the TV Choice offering, delivering assorted on-demand fare, for £7 per month. Malcolm Wall, the cable platform’s CEO of content, said of the deal: "We’re always looking at new ways of bringing compelling sports content to our customers, across TV, on demand and online. Setanta Replay is a great way to watch the game when you want, how you want and, by continuing to add such great content, we’ll further drive uptake of on demand and keep changing the way people watch TV."
