Impossible Pictures Receives Commission from Discovery Channel

LONDON, March 23: British
independent production company Impossible Pictures has been commissioned by the
Discovery Channel to produce Natural Wonders, a new six-part science documentary series, for
delivery this summer.

Currently in production,
the series uses spectacular special effects and impressive reconstructions to
tell the unique stories behind some of the world’s most breathtaking wonders.
Each hour-long episode features a different destination, including the Grand
Canyon, Angel Falls and the Sahara Desert. Natural Wonders will be distributed internationally by Discovery.

Jasper
James, the co-founder and creative director of Impossible Pictures, noted: “These are the places at the top of everyone’s ‘must
see’
list but few realize that
behind these wonders are natural and human histories that rival their physical
beauty. This series is a potent blend of spectacle, adrenaline and revelation
and exemplifies what Impossible does best—producing high quality programs
to take audiences to places they have never been before. It’s a series that
everyone should see before they die.”

Impossible Pictures’ recent productions include Prehistoric
Park
and Primeval for ITV and Ocean Odyssey for BBC.
