France 3 Scoops Up Nerd Corps 3-D Series

VANCOUVER, February 20:
France 3 has added Nerd Corps Entertainment’s 3-D animated series Storm
Hawks, targeted at kids aged 6 to
11, to its fall lineup.

A total of 52 half-hour
episodes are currently in production by Nerd Corps Entertainment. The series is
set in the world of Atmos, where squadrons of Sky Knights on flying motorcycles
battle to protect their air turf. It features five mismatched teens and their
odd little animal sidekick who come across the wreckage of the sky knight
squadron known as The Storm Hawks, and begin using the flying motorcycles to
fight the nasty villains of an evil empire. Ace Fipke, the CEO of Nerd Corps
Entertainment, created the series, which is produced in association with
Canadian broadcaster YTV.

“We’re thrilled to be able
to add Storm Hawks to our strong
kids lineup,” said Julien Borde, the head of kids programming at France 3. “It
features a great mix of comedy and action, coupled with a fantastic look. We’re
convinced it will have no trouble finding an enthusiastic fan base in France.”
