ESPN STAR Sports to Launch SportsCenter in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, February 15: ESPN
STAR Sports is working with the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sport (KBS) for
a local version of SportsCenter, to be
broadcast live beginning this April.

The Malaysian SportsCenter will be produced and presented locally, covering the best
international and domestic sports. It will air every weeknight on ESPN. The
network already has a regional edition of its flagship sports news program. SportsCenter
Asia
currently goes out on ESPN twice a
weeknight. It is accessible in four languages: Hindi for the Indian feed,
Cantonese for Hong Kong, Mandarin for Taiwan and English for broadcast across
the region.

The initiative is part of the
multi-year strategic alliance signed by KBS and ESPN STAR Sports in October
2005 to raise participation and interest in sport in Malaysia.

ESPN STAR Sports reaches more than
276.8 million viewers in Asia, 24 hours a day. Its 13 networks include ESPN
Asia, ESPN India, ESPN Singapore, ESPN Philippines, MBC-ESPN in Korea, STAR
Sports Asia and STAR Sports India.
