SET Spain Takes Southern Star Titles

MADRID/SYDNEY, October 16: SET in Spain has picked up the
rights to two titles from Southern Star International: McLeod’s Daughters and The Sleepover Club.

The channel, operated by Sony Pictures Television
International, took seasons one through four of the hit drama McLeod’s
Daughters
and seasons one and two of the
tween series The Sleepover Club.

“We know our viewers will love them,” said Carlos Herrán,
the programming and production director at SPTI Networks Iberia. “They fit
perfectly into our family oriented programming for SET Spain.”

McLeod’s Daughters
is a Millennium Television Production for Nine Network Australia.
Now in its sixth season, the series has sold to over 100 territories including
Hallmark International Channels, Italy (RAI), Germany (Vox) and France (AB
Droits). The Sleepover Club is
a 52×30-minute live action tween series based on the books by Rose Impey and
published by Harper Collins. To date the series has sold to the U.K. (ITV,
Nickelodeon), Canada (BBC Kids), Ireland (RTE), Sweden (SVT), Spain (Nickelodeon),
India (Cartoon Network) and Bulgaria (TV Sedem), among others.
