MTV, Reveille Show Searches for New Menudo Members

NEW YORK, October 16: Epic Records and Sony BMG are working
to recreate the 70s and 80s boy band sensation Menudo—which gave Ricky
Martin his big break—with MTV and Reveille to produce a reality series
chronicling the search for the new Latin pop stars.

The 10 half-hour episodes will highlight the search for the
new Menudo members and chronicle their efforts to record their debut album. It
is slated for a fall 2007 broadcast. Leading up to the premiere of the
as-yet-unnamed series on MTV, the Hispanic-targeted MTV Tr3s will air Road
To Menudo
, a series of specials chronicling
all the auditions, culminating with the selection of the members of the new
Menudo.

"Our goal is to re-create the energy and excitement of
the original Menudo that swept the world with its unique sound," said Ben
Silverman, the founder and CEO of Reveille. "By working closely with Epic
Records and MTV, we will produce a unique television reality program that
follows the search for the next band members and appeals to audiences across
the globe."

Christina Norman, the president of MTV, added, "As the
leader in creating fresh content that lives across multiple platforms, the
Menudo project will fuel unique online, on-air and wireless opportunities for
MTV and the newly launched MTV Tr3s that will deepen our connection to our
viewers and introduce a new generation to one of the biggest names in Latino
and American music."

The original Menudo recorded 35 albums and sold more than 40
million records. The search for talented male singers aged 15 to 19 begins in
Puerto Rico on October 21. The auditions will start in the U.S. in early 2007.
