MoonScoop, Classic Prep Casper Animated Series

CANNES, October 9: MoonScoop and Classic Media announced in
Cannes today that they are teaming to produce and distribute a new Casper
the Friendly Ghost animated series, with
India’s DQ Entertainment on board as a co-production partner and TF1 as the
broadcaster.

Production on the new 52 11-minute episodes begins in
February 2007. The co-production partners will share distribution rights.

“Casper is one of the world’s most beloved and recognizable
kids’ properties,” said Doug Schwalbe, the executive VP of worldwide
distribution at Classic Media. “MoonScoop is the perfect partner to help us
produce a fresh new series based on this iconic character.”
