FoxLife Latin America Unveils Baby TV Block

BUENOS AIRES, October 4: On Monday, October 9, the FoxLife
channel in Latin America, which targets women aged 18 to 49, will launch Baby
TV
, a block of programming exclusively for
children under the age of 3.

The first of its kind for the region, the block, which will
air weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., was developed in conjunction with child
psychologists and infant development experts. It will deliver three hours of
commercial-free programming designed to promote parent/child interaction.
Content in general runs from 2- to 8-minutes long, and will be interspersed
with popular songs for toddlers.

“It is known that babies do watch television and we understand
that there is a need and a space for quality programming specially designed for
them,” says Hernán López, the president of Fox Latin American Channels and
managing director of Fox Channels UK. “Baby TV is a safe alternative and delivers only suitable, specifically
tailor-made programming aimed at the needs and abilities of its young viewers
and to parents seeking an effective means to interact with their children.”
