Rather to Produce News Program for HDNet

PASADENA, July 11: Dan Rather, who exited CBS last month, is
set to produce and host a weekly news show for Mark Cuban’s HDNet.

The series, Dan Rather Reports, premieres exclusively on the high-definition cable channel this
October. The one-hour episodes will feature field reports, interviews and
investigative pieces. HDNet promises that it will be “completely uncensored”
and “will reflect the signature qualities of its host with a focus on accuracy,
fairness and guts.” Mark Cuban, the co-founder of HDNet, commented, "Now
that he is finally released from the ratings driven and limited depth confines
of broadcast television, I am excited about the impact Dan can have on the
future of news."

"Hard news needs backers who won't back down,” said
Rather. “Mark Cuban is such a leader. As a team player I intend to give Mark
and HDNet all of the hard work, loyalty and fearless, high quality reporting
possible."

The HDNet networks are available on Adelphia, Bright House,
Charter, DIRECTV, DISH Network, Insight, Mediacom, Time Warner Cable and more
than 40 NCTC cable affiliate companies.
