Shōgun Leads TV Wins at Golden Globes

The FX drama Shōgun, a sweeping saga set in feudal Japan, won four Golden Globes at last night’s awards, including best TV series (drama).

Shōgun’s Anna Sawai won for female actor in a TV drama and Hiroyuki Sanada for male actor. Tadanobu Asano also landed a win for male actor in a supporting TV role for the series.

Hacks won for best TV series (musical or comedy), while Baby Reindeer won on the TV side for limited series, anthology or TV movie.

The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White scored the nod for male actor in a TV musical or comedy, with Hacks’ Jean Smart winning on the female actor side. Baby Reindeer’s Jessica Gunning got a supporting nod for TV.

Jodie Foster won for her performance in True Detective: Night Country for limited series, anthology or TV movie, while Colin Farrell won for The Penguin on the male actor side of the category.

The Brutalist and Emilia Pérez were the night’s big winners on the film side.
