New Louis C.K. Specials to Premiere on Netflix

BEVERLY HILLS: Two new stand-up comedy specials from Emmy winner Louis C.K. are due to debut exclusively on Netflix.

The first of the specials, titled 2017, was filmed in Washington D.C. and is scheduled to launch on April 4 everywhere the streaming service is available. C.K. is a comedian, actor, writer, producer, director and editor. Throughout his prolific career, he has been nominated for more than 30 Emmys and won six.

Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer at Netflix, stated: “Louis has been one of the most innovative comedy voices in this new era of stand-up. He has also been a thought-leader in the business of comedy. We have marveled at his creativity and his ability to invent comedically and commercially, and are thrilled that he is bringing his newest specials to Netflix.”
