MIPCOM Security to Be Reinforced Following Tragedy in Nice

PARIS: In the wake of the recent tragedy in Nice, MIPCOM organizer Reed MIDEM is working to tighten security ahead of the October market and conference.

“For the moment, our thoughts go out to the victims and their families following these tragic events,” the Reed MIDEM team said. “In the meantime, we are working to reinforce our security measures. We will communicate more information later as we get closer to the market.”

Last week, 84 people were killed and 303 injured when a 19-ton cargo truck was deliberately driven into crowds celebrating Bastille Day in Nice. The tragedy marked the latest in a string of terrorist-related attacks in France.
