LOS ANGELES: MarVista Entertainment has picked up the global distribution rights for the creature feature Terrordactyl, set to debut at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM).

Produced by 3rd Films, the movie follows two friends who start being stalked by ancient flying reptiles once they recover a meteor that has fallen in Los Angeles. The film joins other MarVista titles, including the horror movie Most Likely to Die and the thriller Caught, which are being screened at AFM.

“MarVista has had great success with titles in the vein of Terrordactyl in the global market, and we are excited to have signed our agreement with 3rd Films to launch this movie at AFM for all our buyers,” commented Vanessa Shapiro, the executive VP of distribution for MarVista Entertainment.

Terrordactyl features two ordinary guys facing an extraordinary situation—flying reptiles who cause chaos across Hollywood,” added Stephanie Slack, MarVista’s senior VP of acquisitions and co-productions, who negotiated the acquisition. “It’s a creature feature like you’ve never seen before, and the making for a fantastic franchise.”
