Popcornflix Expands into Dozens of Territories

CANNES: Popcornflix, an ad-supported streaming service of Screen Media Ventures, has become available in 36 new territories, including in Latin America and the Middle East.

Popcornflix can now be accessed on the web and mobile devices in 16 Latin American countries, including Mexico and Argentina. In the Middle East, the service has also launched in 16 countries, among them Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Popcornflix has also become available in Poland, Russia, Turkey and China. In addition, the service is now being offered on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in the U.K.

“Today’s audiences increasingly want to watch content on their own terms, however they want, wherever they are,” said David Fannon, the executive VP of Popcornflix. “Popcornflix is dedicated to making our content widely available, not only across platforms, but across continents.
