World Screen Makes New Hires for Editorial, Marketing Teams

NEW YORK: Joel Marino has joined World Screen as assistant editor, working across both the English- and Spanish-language editorial teams, while Faustyna Hariasz has been hired as the new sales and marketing assistant.

Marino contributes to the company’s English- and Spanish-language newsletters, including the flagship World Screen Newsflash and Diario TV Latina. He also assists the editorial teams in proofreading, fact-checking and translating copy for all of the company’s print publications. Born in Argentina and raised in Miami, Marino began his journalism career in 2007 with the South Florida Sun Sentinel, where he won a Florida Press Club award for breaking news. He moved to New York in 2010, working as a copy editor for online luxury magazine UrbanDaddy.com and writer for its Latino-lifestyle offshoot Manero.com. Marino is fluent in Spanish and English.

Hariasz graduated from New York University in 2011 with a degree in marketing and producing for film and television. She spent a year teaching English in France, and for the past two years has worked in the hospitality industry as a special event and PR coordinator. She also spent a year working at the BBC. In her new role at World Screen, Hariasz will be supporting Cesar Suero, the marketing and sales director. She will be managing the subscriber database, advertising contracts and client lists, in addition to her responsibilities for monitoring and maintaining digital market campaigns. Hariasz will also be liaising with clients on the delivery of sales and marketing materials. Hariasz is fluent in English, French and Polish.
