DLT Hires Former ITV Comedy Commissioner

LONDON: DLT Entertainment has made Michaela Hennessy-Vass, the former comedy commissioning editor at ITV, its executive editor.

Hennessy-Vass will report to Don Taffner Jr., the president of DLT. Prior to joining DLT, she spent 20 years at ITV, becoming comedy commissioning editor in 2007. There she was responsible for programs such as Benidorm, Ladies of Letters and Bad Mother’s Handbook. In 2010 she served as the development consultant at Leopardrama. She recently produced a 26-part, international co-production live-action children’s comedy for Talent Television, which will air next year on ITV.

Don Taffner Jr, commented: “Michaela has a great eye for comedy, which she has demonstrated time after time having developed and commissioned some of ITV’s most successful comedies and comedy dramas. She is a great addition to our development team in London, further advancing our ambitions following our recent expansion in Manchester with the appointment of Jon Mountague.”
