LOS ANGELES/TORONTO/LONDON: Entertainment One (eOne) has named Sally Caplan as the managing director of the company’s international film division.

Caplan will be based in eOne’s London office, continuing to expand the company’s international film division through new partnerships with producers, filmmakers and distributors in the U.K., European markets and worldwide. Prior to joining eOne, Caplan was the head of the Premiere Fund at the UK Film Council, which invested £8 million of National Lottery money per annum into mainstream films. Caplan awarded funding to more than 45 films and was involved in all creative and business aspects.

“We’re thrilled to have Sally Caplan join the team as our international film business expands into the U.K. and the rest of Europe,” said eOne’s Filmed Entertainment COO, Nelson Kuo-Lee. “Sally’s wealth of relationships with content owners will enhance eOne’s ability to acquire international rights to premium films and offer greater access to these projects at an earlier stage for our distribution operations in the U.K., Canada, Australia and the Benelux.”
