Veralia to Remake Classic Spanish Game Show

MADRID: The Spanish production outfit Veralia is working on a new version of El gran juego de la oca, a classic game show from the ’90s, to be launched on four channels in Latin America.

Stefano Torrisi, the director of the international division at Veralia, said the new version will be taped in Colombia and will be syndicated to four or five channels in Latin America, including a yet-to-be-named channel in Mexico.

Torrisi mentioned that the idea is to produce El gran juego de la oca using Dynamo Capital’s studios, the show’s co-producer with which Veralia is in advanced talks. Each country will also adapt its own version.

The original version of El gran juego de la oca, whose format is owned by Jocelyn Hattab, aired on Antena 3 between 1993 and 1995. The show also aired in Latin America garnering successful ratings.
