CANNES: The four original documentaries jointly commissioned and funded by MediaCorp and NHK from The Asian Pitch in 2010 are now available for international sales at MIPCOM.

From India, Angels of Troubled Paradise follows the life of a young Kashmiri boy who collects tear gas shells and sells the scrap metal to provide for his family. Also from India, Living for the Dead spotlights individuals who have found meaning in their lives through the dead and dying. The Rest of My Life is for Sale, from China, looks at a 23-year-old girl who opens an online store to undertake chores and acts for customers for a fee. Street Teachers, a title from Thailand, centers on three individuals who are working to make a difference in the lives of homeless children through acts of kindness.

The winning titles were selected from more than 100 entries received from across Asia in July 2010. The pan-Asia pitching event, organized by MediaCorp and NHK since 2007, has yielded a number of award-winning documentaries.
