Watch Orders A Very British Party

LONDON: The UKTV channel Watch has ordered the new series A Very British Party from Firecracker Films, the makers of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.

A Very British Party will give viewers a look into a variety of extreme parties such as an exclusive nudist dinner party; how multi-millionaire pensioners celebrate their four-year-old’s birthday; what motivates a former city trader to spend £30,000 on a party for a dog; and what 200 14-year-olds do at a sleepover. Watch has ordered eight one-hour episodes.

Jane Rogerson, the director of commissioning at UKTV, said, “A Very British Party paints a vivid portrait of 21st century Britain through an eclectic cast of characters throwing extraordinary parties. We absolutely love the characters that Firecracker has discovered, and our viewers are going to love following the journey of their emotion-filled celebrations.”
