BOGOTA/MIAMI: Caracol TV has signed a deal with Korea’s Arirang TV to collaborate on news, sports news and general-interest programming.

The deal sees both networks sharing technical and human support to make local productions. They will exchange cultural, artistic, scientific, sports, news and other news-related programs when needed. They will join efforts for the co-production of TV shows as well.

“We have been opening Caracol TV to the international market for some time now and Asia is a very important continent for us, which is why this agreement is an essential piece to achieve our goals towards the future,” said Carlos Alejandro Pérez-Dávila, Caracol TV’s president.

Shon Jie-ae, the president of Arirang TV, added: “We hope that this agreement is the beginning to improve the cooperation between Korea and Colombia in the broadcast sector.”
