OWN Reveals Fall Programming Slate

LOS ANGELES: The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has unveiled its fall lineup, which includes Rosie O’Donnell’s new talk show as well as Oprah’s Lifeclass, a look back through The Oprah Winfrey Show’s 25-year history.

The Rosie Show, Rosie O’Donnell’s new daily talk show, and Oprah’s Lifeclass, will premiere October 10 and air Monday through Friday. Other new series to air on the network include Don’t Tell the Bride, which features grooms in charge of planning their weddings, resulting in either tantrums or tears of joy; Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s, a series about a popular soul food restaurant in St. Louis run by Robbie Montgomery, one of the original back-up singers for Ike and Tina Turner in the ’60s; and Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind, an hour-long doc series about some of the world’s most iconic innovators.

In addition, Ask Oprah’s All Stars, featuring Dr. Phil, Suze Orman, Dr. Oz and hosted by Gayle King, and Our America with Lisa Ling, are returning with new seasons. Enough Already! with Peter Walsh, In The Bedroom With Dr. Laura Berman and Oprah’s Master Class are also returning.

“With Rosie and Oprah holding down our weeknights, we have a great opportunity to seamlessly reach our core audience on weekends with these strong original and returning series,” said Erik Logan, co-president of OWN.

“We’ve already created a destination for our audience on Sunday nights and look forward to building on the momentum Monday through Friday, and expanding OWN’s success to Saturdays,” added Sheri Salata, co-president of OWN.
