VIMN Makes Appointment for Russian Office

MOSCOW/LONDON/NEW YORK: Nicholas Walters has been promoted to VP and general manager of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) for Russia and CIS, a newly created position.

Based between London and Moscow, Walters will be responsible for the strategy, development and execution of a full-scale local operation and will manage the new VIMN Moscow office. He will continue to oversee the corporate development function for emerging markets and reports to Bhavneet Singh, the managing director and executive VP of emerging markets at VIMN, and is supported by Irina Nazarenko, the senior commercial manager at VIMN Russia.

Previously, Walters was the senior director of strategy and corporate development, responsible for strategy across VIMN’s multi-brand portfolio of channels, events and digital assets in CEE, Russia, Africa, the Middle East and India.

"Russia is major priority for VIMN, with good momentum building across the business,” Singh said. “We also have a stretching set of targets for growth and Nicholas’ appointment will guide the company through its next phase of growth and expansion.”
