LONDON, July 21: The factual series Misbehaving Mums to Be has been picked up from DCD Rights to air across Europe and Australia.

ABC in Australia, Discovery Networks Central and Eastern Europe, Nelonen in Finland, TV Norge in Norway and VMMA in Belgium all opted for the seven-episode series, produced by the DCD-owned Prospect Cymru.

The series, focusing on unhealthy moms-to-be who smoke, binge drink and overeat, received high ratings and media attention during its first debut earlier this year on BBC Three.

“This eye-opening program sets out to approach pregnancy from a different angle and puts unborn babies at the heart,” said Nicky Davies Williams, the CEO of DCD Rights. “It has been very successful in the U.K., and the strong international appeal of its subject matter will no doubt continue to generate much interest both as a finished program and format across the world.”
