Mondo to Co-Produce New 2D Series

ROME: Mondo TV Group is aligning with Ponpoko Productions, Starbright and Kappa Edizioni for the 2D animated series Beast Keeper.

Mondo is the majority co-producer, with an ownership share of 80 percent for the series. The 52×13-minute project is already in production and will be based on the property Beast Keeper owned by Ponpoko.

Mondo will manage the executive production, including the screenplay under the direction of Orlando Corradi, the president and CEO of Mondo TV. Mondo will hold the worldwide distribution rights for TV and home video for a priod of 30 years. The distribution rights for licensing and merchandising will be held by Starbright in Italy, carried out in close collaboration between Mondo and Starbright.

The series will be presented at MIPTV, with final delivery of all the episodes slated for fall 2012.
