TORONTO: Production is under way by Paperny Films on the new series Consumed, which features families who need to de-clutter their lives, for HGTV Canada.

The 13×1-hour series is slated for a 2011 debut on HGTV Canada. The show features 13 families, one per episode, whose lives are consumed by clutter. Host and professional organizer Jim Pollock puts the participants through a 30-day de-cluttering experiment, during which each family must leave with just the bare essentials. At the end of the experiment, the families can decide which of their belongings to keep, toss, donate or recycle.

“This is one of those special opportunities to tell stories of personal transformation,” said David Paperny, the president of Paperny Films. “We’re very excited about showcasing the immense talents of Jill Pollack.”
