Celestial to Co-Produce New Feature Film

BEIJING: Celestial Pictures has started production on My Kingdom (Da Wu Sheng), a multi-million dollar martial arts epic that will be co-produced with Skyland Films and DW Films.

The production team on the feature film includes writer Zou Jingzhi (Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles), director Gao Xiaosong, producer Andre Morgan (The Warlords, The White Countess) and action director Sammo Hung (Ip Man, Ip Man 2). My Kingdom stars Wu Chun (14 Blades), Barbie Hsu (Reign of Assassins), and pop sensation Han Geng, in his feature film debut.

Set for release in the second half of 2011, My Kingdom tells the story of two brothers’ quest for fame, love and revenge. It is set against the backdrop of the Shanghai opera stage during its heyday in the 1920s.
