Lea Thompson to Star in New Hallmark Original

NEW YORK: Lea Thompson, who has been on a worldwide tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future, is starring in the new Hallmark Movie Channel original The Cabin, premiering summer 2011.

Thompson stars alongside Steven Brand (Covert Affairs). She plays Lily MacDougal, an American, while Brand plays Conor MacDougal, an Irishman. Both are single parents who share the surname but have little else in common. Each have brought their children to Scotland to enter a national Clan MacDougal-type affair. A booking agent accidentally assigns them to the same cabin. The two feuding families must enter the race as a team and must overcome their differences in order to pull out a win.

The Cabin is being produced by Big Apple Productions.
