Reliance Big Teams with Tom Hanks’ Playtone

MUMBAI/LOS ANGELES: India’s Reliance Big Entertainment (RBE) is partnering with Playtone, the company set up by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, for a multiplatform property that encompasses an online animated series, social game and mobile application.

Electric City has been conceived and written by Hanks. It promises a glimpse at a vision of the world’s future, covering themes such as energy consumption, freedom of information, crime and punishment. Management of the digital media project will be led by Zapak, the gaming arm of RBE.
