Scott Hanock to Rep Phoenix Group Titles

LOS ANGELES: The Phoenix Group, which exclusively represents the R Squared Films catalogue, has signed Scott Hanock to a sales consultancy deal, launching its library distribution efforts at MIPCOM.

The Phoenix Group’s primary focus is the horror and thriller genres, but the library also boasts action and comedy titles. The company represents Boggy Creek, based on the 1972 blockbuster The Legend of Boggy Creek, as well as Anthem, which is set for release in January 2011. “We are hoping the public embraces our Boggy Creek horror film as much as they did the 1972 original,” said Bud Bernd Schaffer, the CEO of The Phoenix Group.

Hanock, a veteran in the international television programming business, heads up TvFilmBiz International.
