RTL to Adapt Armoza Format

TEL AVIV: Germany’s RTL has ordered Armoza Formats’ Comedians at Work, to air in a prime-time slot starting in November under the title Stars bei der Arbeit.

The show will be hosted by German comedian Kaya Yanar and produced by Endemol, which holds the format rights in French Belgium and Turkey. The format sends comedians on missions to perform real jobs for a day, returning to the studio to perform a stand-up routine based on the experience. The German version will feature local celebrities, who will try on the roles of stand-up comedians.

Arno Schneppenheim, executive producer at Endemol, said, "We were attracted to Comedians at Work as the chance to do comedy differently in German. The format is clever and entertaining, and with Kaya Yanar and RTL on board, this is going to be a very exciting and unique comedy experience!"
