Beyond Presents New Children’s Series

SYDNEY: Beyond Distribution is to introduce its latest children’s property, the 75×30-minute Toybox, at MIP Junior.

Toybox is from series creators Ian Munro and Ron Saunders, whose previous credits include Hi-5, New MacDonald’s Farm, Johnson & Friends, Bananas in Pyjamas, Magic Moutain and Milly, Molly. The show is set in a fantasy world, as a toy box is spilled on its side and the toys magically come to life. The series is aimed at 2- to 5-year-olds.

Fiona Crago, the general manager of Beyond Distribution, said, “I’m very excited about Toybox. It’s a really bright, engaging and innovative show that will have kids up and dancing in front of the television. The perspective of the show is unique as we engage with the pint-sized world inside the toy box. Kids will really believe the toys have come to life to play with them.”

Ian Munro, the series producer and director, commented, “Kid’s love the drama of a good story, to have a good laugh, to make discoveries about their world and to work things out themselves. Add the hi-energy dancing and Toybox has it all”.
